This qualification is 60 credits and is equivalent to one semester full-time study. You can choose any courses within the Certificate Programme. The focus is on gaining skills and knowledge about Christian ministry.

Certificate in Christian Ministry

This qualification is 120 credits and is equivalent to two semesters full-time study. You must complete all core courses, and a selection of option courses. The focus of this course is learning and ministering to others.

  • Evangelism 2010 (CCME10)
      • This course examines the role we all have in sharing the gospel with the world. The course looks at the approaches, skills and motivations for evangelism. The ways that people come to faith are examined with specific approaches to lead an experientialist and a rationalist to faith. Students will present the gospel to others and are expected to step out in their own evangelism style.

    • Biblical Overview 2010 (CBBO10)
      • This course gives an overview of the whole bible with a focus on the story of salvation of humanity. Students are expected to have specific knowledge about some events, trends and themes over history and to relate them to their own current church context.
      • 12 Credits
      • This course runs Term One & Two 2010 on Tuesdays from 9.15am - 1pm
    • Sermons 2010 (CPR210_1)
      • This course looks at developing more advanced speaking skills to communicate your message with passion and clarity to achieve results in the lives of the hearers. Students will plan, develop, deliver and evaluate 3 sermons. It is expected that the learning in each sermon will build on the one prior. Sermons must be delivered to a selected congregation.
